Our Revels Now are Ended

William Shakespeare (1564-1616)

William Shakespeare's date of birth is actually unknown. 26 April 1964 is the date of Shakespeare's baptism. William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright & actor born in Warwickshire, England to the Mayor of the town. Many people speculate that his work is actually not his & is in actuality written by others but thats just a speculation.

Our Revels Now are Ended is a poem taken from Shakespeare Williams play The Tempest act IV, scene 1, lines 148-158, spoken by the main character Prospero.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits &
Are melted into air, into thin air:
&, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself.
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
&, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, & our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
